Little Women (2019)
Greta Gerwig's sophomore feature is another heartfelt story of female empowerment. It is something special to adapt a well-known story like 'Little Women' and have it feel like it still has something new to offer. Saiorse Ronan is magnetic as ever and I know her time as Best Actress is coming soon but Florence Pugh acts as this movie's scene stealer. She commands every scene she's in and she had me rooting for her for Best Supporting Actress against the almighty Laura Dern. If it weren't for Joker taking home the win, I believe this movie would've been a strong contender for Best Original Score as well.
To All The Boys: P.S. I Love You (2020)
As a sequel to the popular Netflix Film, To All The Boys: P.S. I Love You is not as charming as its predecessor but still has some merits. It is always refreshing to see an Asian American lead in Lana Condor and newest addition Jordan Fisher's John Ambrose has now officially dethroned Noah Centineo's Peter Kavinsky as the internet's boyfriend. This was a guilty pleasure watch more than anything but unlike the first one, I didn't find myself as satisfied with its ending. I didn't read the books but I feel as a movie its plot could've been developed better.

Frozen II (2019)
This year's frozen sequel did not have as many catchy songs as the first and had a bit of a muddled plot but it tried to be more serious with its themes which is always a plus for me. The scope is definitely bigger than the first one but I found myself questioning what was happening halfway through. I am glad, however, that Norwegian singer Aurora is finally getting her time in the spotlight.
The Cabin In The Woods (2011)
This movie is one of the few that manages to be in the same league as Scream in terms of meta killer narratives. It's smart and funny and is always good as a recommendation to those who have never seen it.
Buffaloed (2019)
Both Zoey Deutch and Judy Greer are amazing actresses who deserve better movies than the ones they usually get. I'm glad Buffaloed gives them a chance to shine even though it fails to meet some of my expectations. I went into this after hearing Deutch describe it as a small town Wolf of Wall Street so that may have gotten them pretty high. Nonetheless, this was a fun watch and I'm excited to see any future projects that Deutch may have.
